a little about us

Practical, honest, bee-first beekeeping

At Tanager Beekeeping, we have a passion for Texas, her environment, and how best to cultivate her natural beauty into the ideal habitat for pollinators. We are dedicated to ensuring our clients are set up for success using our skills in this area to help our clients create land management plans and best practices.

Our Purpose Statement

At Tanager Beekeeping, we believe responsible land management starts with healthy bees. Our work connects Texas landowners to the land’s natural rhythm — helping them care for pollinators, improve their acreage, and benefit from the rewards that come with doing things the right way.

What sets us apart?

Unlike many other operations, we do not lease or rent bees to clients. Instead, our clients own their own hives which allows them to be stakeholders in the success of their bees as well as ensure autonomy over their investment on their property.

We provide full service, turn-key beekeeping to our clients. We take care of every aspect of the beekeeping process: delivery and installation of beehives, inspections and maintenance, and keeping record of the hives over the course of the season. We also harvest, extract, and process honey and wax, ensuring that a portion of it is sold in order to qualify for tax valuation.

Tanager Beekeeping provides a practical solution for those that want bees, but don’t have the time or freedom to learn beekeeping for themselves.

A little backstory

At Tanager Beekeeping, our story is rooted in a deep love for the Texas landscape and a fascination with all of its residents, even its smallest, most hardworking ones.

Tanager Beekeeping was started in 2025 by Evan and Kameron Gardiner. Beekeeping professionally since 2021, the couple chose to start their own beekeeping business helping clients obtain and maintain beehives on their own land.

Evan is a fourth-generation Texan whose interest in nature has always been a core part of his life. His love of the land was fostered from a young age, and as an Eagle Scout, he was taught the principles of stewardship and ethical resource management.

Evan’s love of nature and curiosity eventually led him to beekeeping. He has been immersed in the beekeeping space for a number of years, honing his skills and championing sustainable hive and land management practices. His experiences have provided him with a deep passion for managing healthy, thriving bee hives.
